This page provides an overview of the prices for my web, email and word services.

Websites

I know what you’re thinking: “How much will it cost me to have a website made?”

My answer is—“Nothing!” That’s right, I’m saying the website I create for you will cost you nothing.

If that sounds strange, then think about it for a moment: you want a website that will help make money for your business, right? (If a website will not add value to your activities—commercial or otherwise—then why do you want a website at all?)

So to think of a website as a cost to you is illogical. Its purpose is to make

you money. Hence I say that a website will cost you nothing.

Does this mean that I don’t charge for my services? No, it doesn’t mean that at all. Certainly I charge a fee—a fair share of the profits your website will generate. However, from your point of view, this fee is an investment, not a cost. Assuming that your projected profits are accurate, you can expect to make a return on investment within six months. That should keep your accountant happy.

So, in summary: it is really up to you how much you will need to invest in a website. You need to have a good idea of what value a website will add to your business over the period of a year, and let that determine what is a reasonable investment. When you have determined that, I can determine a reasonable scope for the project and quote for my services. If you have no idea of what value a website will add to your business, I recommend you do some research into this first.

• Domain Names

Domain names are offered to website clients at wholesale prices, meaning that you are not likely to find any better prices anywhere. Domain name prices start at $12 per year.

• Web Hosting

Quality web hosting is also available to website clients. Websites are hosted on a secure, private server, and are thus protected from bad neighbors and enjoy ample bandwidth and server resources.

Prices start at $80 per year. This $80 includes:

  • 3 email addresses
  • a control panel
  • visitor statistics
  • email forwarding
  • webmail.

Optional extras include:

  • additional email addresses ($10 each per year)
  • spam filtering ($60 per year).

Email Campaigns

As I’ve indicated above, rather than thinking of an email campaign as a cost to you, consider the value it will add to your business. That will help determine how much to spend on the campaign.

Email layouts range from the very simple to the very complex, and the greater the complexity, the higher my fee. As a general guide, my fee for the email design tends to range between $100 and $400. However, this fee is substantially reduced on subsequent emails if the same layout is used.

The price for sending the campaign depends on the number of recipients, incorporating a flat fee of $6 and approximately 1.5¢ per email.

Word Services

All word services by Page Affairs are charged by the hour, normally at a rate of $40–$50 per hour, depending on the nature of the work. A quote is provided for the estimated time required to complete the work.
